I'm a Registered Psychologist, based out of Edmonton, AB. I provide online therapy & counselling to women across Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Nunavut, and Quebec.
I want you to know that seeking help is not a sign of weakness; we were never meant to do any of it alone. Reaching out is an act of courage.
You have been suffering for way too long and deserve therapy & counselling that do not take years. My effective, yet warm approach to therapy & counselling has been likened to ‘micro-neurosurgery’ and focuses on rapid, profound and lasting recovery.
In my professional and lived experience with spiritual and mental health challenges, therapy & counselling that work and have a real, long-term impact are deeply collaborative and put you in the driver’s seat; I have expertise but you are the ‘expert in you’. I will not tell you what to do but will curate and walk you through revolutionary techniques that will help you achieve the results you yearn for.
I will strive to strike a balance between giving you the listening ear and support you need in the moment, and following a structured yet flexible therapy & counselling framework, so you can always feel safe to show up as your authentic self, while we progress toward your goals in a clear, measurable way and at a pace that feels good to you. My clients often say that I help them feel completely seen, heard and supported, and that I convey a deep understanding of what they share with me, even when they feel like they are all over the place and not making much sense.
Together, we will define and analyze what specifically happens during your moments of struggle so that I may help you find and master the tools that can uniquely help you overcome the difficulties you are facing.

Islamic Therapy for Muslim women
Although things have been hard, you are doing your best to turn to Allah SWT. Yet, it feels like there is no end to your struggles, and you can’t help but feel discouraged. You are hesitant to seek help from a therapist for fear of being negatively judged, misunderstood or geared in directions that compromise your faith. As a fellow Muslim woman, I know these fears are valid. This is why I created a version of my approach that is rooted in Islamic psychology and aligns with teachings from the Qu’ran, Ahadiths and Seerah.
Jabir reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: “There is a remedy for every malady, and when the remedy is applied to the disease it is cured with the permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.”

During the consultation, we’ll talk about your current challenges and goals, as well as explore the questions we have for each other. I will also give you information about my practice. After agreeing that we are a good fit, we will book your first session.
Step 3
During your first few sessions, we will explore your story in a warm and empathetic way, and lay down a solid foundation for our work together. We will then proceed to the active part of therapy & counselling, where real healing and transformation happen. It is my goal that at the end of our time together, you will feel liberated from what has been weighing you down, attain the peace and happiness you deserve, and have the tools to navigate whatever life may bring in the future!
