Muslim Counselling for Muslim Women in Fredericton
From the outside, it may seem like you’re managing just fine. But behind the facade, you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional exhaustion, and painful experiences from the past are affecting your current life.
No matter how hard you try, nothing seems to bring the relief you’re searching for. You’ve spent so much time caring for others and meeting everyone’s expectations that your own emotional well-being has been pushed aside. Now, you’re longing to feel lighter, more at peace, and emotionally grounded, in a way that aligns with the deen.
You don’t have to face this journey alone. Healing is possible, and I would love to walk alongside you, insha’Allah.
I am Audrey Kodye, a seasoned Sunni Muslim Registered Psychologist and Muslim counsellor who provides online therapy services for Muslim women in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
I create a warm, supportive space where Muslim women like us can openly share their thoughts and experiences without fear of judgment. By integrating evidence-based psychological methods with Islamic values, we can work toward greater emotional well-being, resilience, and lasting inner peace, insha’Allah.
The Muslim population in Fredericton roughly consists of 3.7% of the city’s population, and includes over 50 permanent families and a transient population of 300 to 400 international students. With the local community established there since 1995, many Muslim women can find a meaningful sense of connection, belonging, and support. However, accessing culturally responsive mental health support can still feel difficult because of the rarity of islamic services. Some Muslim women may also worry about being judged, misunderstood, or having their experiences dismissed, making it harder to reach out for help.
As a Sunni Muslim Registered Psychologist and founder of Overcome Anxiety Psychological Services, based in Edmonton, AB, I know what it is to live in a community where Islamically-aligned therapy is still lacking, while being intimately aware of the importance of accessing to psychological services that are both professionally informed and grounded in the Qu’ran and Sunnah. My goal is to support your emotional well-being in a way that honours both your mental health and the values of our deen, insha’Allah.
Whether you live in Fredericton or the surrounding communities, you can now access specialized, Islamically integrated psychological support allowing you to prioritize your mental health and strengthen your relationship with Allah ﷻ without the need to travel long distances. Virtual therapy provides a confidential and flexible way to care for your mental and emotional well-being while balancing work, school, family life, and other responsibilities.
As a Francophone Muslim Registered psychologist, I know the challenges you face as a French-speaking Muslim woman to find suitable, deen-aligned counselling services where you can interact in the language that feels most natural to you. Having lived and studied in France, as well as in French-speaking communities across Canada, I am able to offer virtual Muslim counselling in French that is grounded in Islamic values for the Muslim women living in Fredericton.
