You have spent so long putting everyone else first that you have learned to quietly set your own needs aside. From the outside, you seem to have everything under control. But deep down, you feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or simply tired of pretending that you are okay.
You have read the books, tried the strategies, made du’a, reminded yourself to be patient, and told yourself that things will eventually get better. Yet somehow, you still feel stuck—and carrying everything alone is becoming harder and harder.
You don’t have to keep doing this by yourself.
Muslim mental health therapy can provide a safe and compassionate space to understand your struggles, uncover the patterns contributing to them, and build practical, healthier ways of coping while staying connected to your faith, Insha’Allah.
You deserve support, too. And taking that first step may be the beginning of something different.

I am Audrey Kodye, a Registered Psychologist, and Sunni Muslim Mental Health Therapist who offers online therapy services for Muslim women in Montreal. I have been helping women like you for 13 years.

You deserve therapy that does more than give you a place to talk. You deserve support that helps you create meaningful change. Together, we will explore the areas of your life you would like to improve, set realistic goals that matter to you, and draw on evidence-based strategies to help you move toward them. Along the way, we will regularly reflect on your progress so you can recognize the changes you are making, insha’Allah.

With Islam being one of the fastest-growing religious groups, Greater Montreal is now home to over 250,000 Muslim residents. Unlike other Canadian cities, the Muslim community in the region features a strong French-speaking demographic. There is an expanding network of mosques, organizations, and community spaces that can foster connection and belonging. However, having access to a community does not always make seeking mental health support easier. For some women, fears of judgment, misunderstanding, or criticism from family, friends, or others around them can create an additional barrier to reaching out for support.
For many Muslim women, meaningful therapy means having their emotional well-being and their relationship with Allah ﷻ considered together. With 13 years of experience in mental health, I offer an approach that brings Islamic principles from the Qur’an and Sunnah into conversation with evidence-based psychological strategies.

Life in Montreal can come with many competing demands, and it is easy to put your own emotional well-being on the back burner. In therapy, we will create a space where you can slow down, understand what you are experiencing, and work through your struggles while strengthening your connection with Allah ﷻ. Whether you are managing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, or the pressures of work, family, and school, virtual therapy offers a private and flexible way to prioritize your emotional health while remaining connected to your Deen, insha’Allah.

Montreal is home to a large french-speaking muslim community. As a francophone Muslim mental health therapist who studied in France and lived for many years in French-speaking communities across Canada, I am pleased to offer Islamic therapy in French, grounded in Islamic values, and to create a space where you can feel comfortable and supported.

Reaching out for therapy can be a meaningful decision, particularly when you have become accustomed to managing everything on your own. You have spent years putting your needs aside, questioning your feelings, or simply trying to keep going. Yet asking for support can open the door to greater clarity, emotional healing, and renewed hope, insha’Allah.

If you are a Muslim woman in Montreal looking for a “Muslim Mental Health Therapist near me” who recognizes that your faith is an important part of who you are, I would be honoured to walk alongside you. Through a compassionate, effective, and Islamically aligned approach, we can work together toward greater emotional well-being and a stronger sense of peace, insha’Allah.
