How long have you been telling yourself, “I’m okay. I just need to get through this”?
You’ve become incredibly good at holding everything together. You take care of your family, fulfil your responsibilities, show up for others, and keep your difficulties mostly to yourself. Even when you’re struggling, you find a way to carry on.
But being strong all the time can be exhausting.
Muslim mental health therapy provides a confidential and compassionate environment where you can step back from the demands around you and begin understanding what is happening beneath the surface. We can explore the thoughts, behaviours, experiences, and emotional patterns contributing to your struggles while incorporating an Islamic perspective that respects your relationship with Allah ﷻ.
Your struggles matter. Your needs matter. And you deserve support along the way.

I am Audrey Kodye, a Registered Psychologist, and Sunni Muslim Mental Health Counselor who offers virtual therapy services for Muslim women in Quebec City. I have been helping women like you for 13 years.

You deserve therapy that helps you make meaningful progress—not simply a place to talk about what is difficult. Our work together will be focused on identifying the changes you want to make, setting clear and realistic goals, and using evidence-based therapeutic strategies to help you get there. We will regularly evaluate your progress together, allowing you to recognize what is changing and how far you have come, insha’Allah.

Over the years, Quebec City has experienced a steady increase in its Muslim population. However, the overall community still remains relatively small. For this reason finding proper islamic services in the region can be challenging. In addition to that, fears of judgment, misunderstanding, or criticism from family, friends, or others around them can create a barrier for some muslim women to seek mental health support.
For more than 13 years, I have supported individuals navigating emotional and psychological challenges, and I understand why finding an Islamic approach to therapy can be especially important for Muslim women. My practice brings together principles from the Qur’an and Sunnah with evidence-based psychological approaches, allowing you to receive professional mental health support in a way that is respectful of and aligned with your faith.

Wherever you are in Quebec City, whether you are managing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, or the pressures of work, family, and school, virtual therapy offers a private and flexible way to prioritize your emotional health while remaining connected to your Deen, insha’Allah.

For many Muslim women in Quebec City, French is the language they are most comfortable speaking. Having practiced for 13 years, I understand the importance of finding a Muslim counsellor who can communicate effectively in your mother tongue. As a francophone myself who studied in France and lived for many years in French-speaking communities across Canada, I am honoured to be that person who can walk that journey with you and create a space where you can feel comfortable and supported.

Sometimes, the hardest part of therapy is admitting that you are tired of doing everything by yourself. Reaching out for support does not mean that you are weak or that you have failed to cope. It can simply mean that you are ready to care for yourself differently. Therapy can offer a place to slow down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and begin moving toward healing, insha’Allah.

For Muslim women in Quebec City looking for a “Muslim Mental health Counselor near me,” I provide counselling that makes room for the whole of who you are—including your faith. My approach combines evidence-based psychological care with Islamic values, allowing us to address your emotional struggles while remaining grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah. You do not have to choose between effective therapy and an approach that respects your Deen.
